Innatrix
Innatrix, Inc., RTP based, is revolutionizing agriculture with over $4M in secured capital, two U.S. patents, and a cutting-edge biological pest and pathogen control platform, which combines state-of-the-art AI with true biological understanding of the interactions between crops and the organisms that damage them, to develop precisely targeted biological pesticides with new modes of action.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in molecular biology, a background in plant biology and/or plant pathology, and motivation for developing new solutions for crop protection. The intern will contribute to ongoing projects aimed at advancing our biological product development, research work on plant health, disease mechanisms, and mitigation strategies.
Qualifications:
Pursuing a degree in Biological Sciences, Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Plant Pathology, or a related field. Equivalent laboratory experience will also be considered.
Hands-on experience working with plants, plant pathogens, plant pests, or microbes in a laboratory setting.
Proficiency in a wide range of molecular biology laboratory techniques, including DNA/RNA purification and analysis, PCR, and protein gel electrophoresis.
Familiarity with sterile techniques and aseptic culture methods.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a research team.
This program is funded through the North Carolina Biotechnology Center's Industrial Internship Program. IIP internships are designed to be spring/summer internships with specific dates/hours to be determined by company needs and candidate availability.
