Job Description
The vehicle electrification and industrial sectors are experiencing rapid and transformative growth. We’re looking for a motivated and passionate student with a background in Electrical or Electronics Engineering to join onsemi’s Systems Engineering team. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to our mission of becoming the global leader in Intelligent Power solutions.
At onsemi, we offer an innovative portfolio of IGBT and Silicon Carbide (SiC) high-power modules, along with a broad range of gate drivers. We’re excited to enhance our system-level solutions with fresh, creative ideas that help us better serve our customers.
Internship for 6 months period, 40 hours work week.
This position is based in Munich, Germany.
Responsibilities
- Testing of 3phase traction gate drive features.
- Develop new circuit designs and fine tune existing ones based on measurements.
- Double pulse tests to support Inverter bring up tests.
- Support general procuring and mechanical assembly of traction Inverter test kits.
- Detailed documentation of various tasks involved.
Qualifications
- B.Sc. in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, currently pursuing a M.Sc.
- Hands-on experience in PCB designs with tools like Altium or Eagle.
- Experience with circuit simulation tools like Matlab Simulink, Simetrix etc.
- Experience with high voltages up to 1200V is beneficial.
- Familiarity with laboratory equipment (oscilloscopes, power supplies).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, fluency in English is a must.
