Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Wet Process Engineer to join our Post Fab Processing team in Hopewell Junction, East Fishkill, NY. This role is critical to ensuring the quality and efficiency of our semiconductor manufacturing processes, with a focus on wet cleans, etch, and surface preparation steps.
Responsibilities
You will be responsible for sustaining and improving wet processing operations, supporting yield and cost improvements, and enabling new technology development in a fast-paced semiconductor manufacturing environment.
- Understand and optimize processes and procedures in the WETs processing area.
- Plan and execute experiments for new technologies and process improvements.
- Drive yield enhancement, throughput optimization, and cost reduction initiatives.
- Perform advanced data analysis and apply SPC and DOE methodologies.
- Respond promptly to out-of-control process conditions and implement corrective actions.
- Manage the disposition of non-conforming materials.
- Prioritize production support while balancing development and improvement projects.
- Generate and maintain detailed process documentation and specifications.
- Train and support Production Operators and Process Technicians.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support factory-wide goals.
Qualifications
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or a related field.
- Minimum 3+ years of direct experience in WETs processing within the semiconductor industry.
Skills:
- Strong understanding of semiconductor device physics and wet chemical processes.
- Proficient in SPC, DOE, and data analysis
Salary: onsemi is excited to share the base salary range for this position is $98,700 to $133,200, exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. The final pay rate for the successful candidate will depend on geographic location, skills, education, experience, and/or consideration of internal equity of our current team members.
