Test Engineering is a team focusing on the strategic development, consolidation, and support of the Test Engineering group of onsemi. The team is central in the organization of the international network of Design and Test teams responsible for a wide range of markets: automotive, industrial, medical, mobile, computing, etc.
The engineer, as part of the team, will be exposed to the multiple aspects of managing testing technologies: Design-for-Test, test techniques, ATE platforms, etc.
This position involves tactical and strategic activities, aiming at improving the working ways of the Design and Test organizations. The position is responsible for test development & test engineering support for power module and discrete NPD under Power Solution Group (PSG) and its smooth transition to mass production.
Responsibilities
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work together with Product Engineering team and manufacturing test engineering team to support new product development and its smooth transition to mass production in multiple manufacturing sites.
- Develop and implement test software & hardware for high voltage, high power semiconductor module and discrete, primarily in the area of final test
- Develop test coverage to ensure no test escapees
- Lead engineer for test solution implementation in mass production
- Perform product characterization
- Manage tester platform roadmap
- Support customer related activities as needed
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Good oral and written English language.
- At least 5 years hands-on experience in semiconductor test and/or product engineering. Experienced in high power semiconductor is preferred.
- Strong knowledge on power semiconductors such as IGBT, MOSFET, Rectifiers and gate drivers.
- Experienced in ETS high power test platforms or equivalent in multi-site environment is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with bench test equipment such as power supply, oscilloscope, function generator and curve tracer for the purpose of debugging
- Experience in dynamic testing of power semiconductors is an added advantage
- Good programming skills in Visual C++.
- Computer literacy in MS Office, Power Point, Excel and Word.
- Team player with good interpersonal skills and able to work efficiently with multi-functional groups across different locations.
- Project management skills. Results/goal oriented.
