onsemi and its High Performance Sensing team is looking for an Applications Engineer to help create cutting edge Integrated Circuits for the Sensing space. Work with industry leaders and experts to develop next generation mixed-signal IC solutions in the exciting world of ultrasonic sensing for automotive and industrial applications. Job location is Brno, Czech Republic.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
- BSEE degree or comparable technical degree.
- Experience with analog and digital application design.
- Knowledge of basic mixed-signal integrated circuit design.
- Experience in designing and running bench boards and application evaluation boards.
- Knowledge of board level design tools (Mentor, Altium Designer).
- Knowledge of programming languages (C, C++).
- Proficient with Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively across diverse organizations, groups and functions.
- Ability to learn new concepts on the job quickly and proficiently.
Preferred Education and Experience
- MSEE degree or comparable technical degree.
- 3+ years of hardware applications engineering experience (device and/or system level).
- Experience programming in C, or C++.
- Experience with FPGA, microcontroller, peripheral and analog electronic devices.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
The Applications Engineer will support and enable our industry leading Sensor Interfacing and Signal conditioning product line, with a focus on Ultrasonic Sensors. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in ASSP application engineering with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Key responsibilities include:
- Understand product system applications.
- Design and validate product evaluation boards.
- Verify critical specifications through bench testing and characterization.
- Define, design, and validate reference designs and product demo boards.
- Help debug product system application issues with customers designing in products.
- Write promotional articles highlighting new products.
- Train Sales and Distribution on existing and new products.
- Work closely with the Marketing and Product Definition Teams to create technical marketing collateral.
- Communicate effectively in English, both verbally and written to all stakeholders.
