Onsemi is seeking a Lead RTP Equipment Engineer in a 300mm automated line, Hopewell Junction, NY. Will guide training and troubleshooting on AMAT Vantage and Centura systems. Position is intended to be a day shift.

- Education: Associate's Degree in Electrical and Mechanical Technology
- Experience: 10+ years of relevant experience
- Demonstrated ability to operate automated or computerized systems and MS Office software
- Ability to read and understand manuals, prints, and operations specifications
- Fluent in the English Language – written & verbal.
- Physical Capacity Demands:
- Able to lift, pull, and/or carry a minimum of 40lb on a periodic basis throughout the shift.
- Able to perform activities that include bending at the waist, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching
- Able to perform shift work in a 12-hour shift schedule, including working in a cleanroom environment, the semiconductor industry
Preferred Qualifications:
- 15+ years of experience with AMAT RTP/RTA process equipment
- Advanced troubleshooting skills to drive solutions on down tools
- Ability to train others and transfer knowledge to documented procedures
- Familiarity with AMAT software and systems
- Working knowledge of Statistical Process Control methodologies & systems.
- Equipment or process maintenance experience in semiconductor manufacturing
- Familiarity with Lean processes & activities and Kaizen teams
- Demonstrated ability to follow detailed instructions and procedures to complete tasks and required documentation
- Demonstrated work performance in an environment requiring high level of attention to detail and timeliness
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize activities.
- Strong team player with the ability to work well within a global team
onsemi is excited to share the base salary range for this position is $110,700-$188,100 exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. The final pay rate for the successful candidate will depend on geographic location, skills, education, experience, and/or consideration of internal equity of our current team members. - React to error messages of factory systems and/or equipment
- Perform maintenance on AMAT Vantage and Centura Radiance, Radiance Vulcan, SiNgen, DPN chambers
- Perform full preventive maintenance activities, which include:
- Removal and installation of rebuilt assemblies or subassemblies within the allotted timeline, with attention to detail to achieve first-time right.
- Ensuring assemblies are built to achieve target lifetimes
- Perform leak checks on installed assemblies to ensure tool vacuum integrity
- Review Statistical Process Control charts for process quality and react to Out of Control conditions, including defect troubleshooting
- Perform visual inspections (quality check)
- Recover from process and tool interruptions
- Identify and address potential areas for improvement and optimize tool availability, cycle time, utilization and cost
- Complete all required reporting and documentation
- Understand and follow all health, safety, and environmental procedures and requirements
- Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.
