The Associate Analyst, Compensation & Benefits (India) position develops and manages compensation and benefits policies across India, collaborating with APAC and local HR teams. The role focuses on ensuring consistent application of reward strategies and requiring flexibility and attention to detail.
Key responsibilities include acting as an internal C&B expert supporting performance evaluations, launching new programs, conducting market analyses, and improving benefits programs.
The role reports to the APAC C&B COE and collaborates with India local HRs, peers in other APAC countries and regions as needed.
Objectives
The primary objective is to ensure that compensation and benefits policies and programs are executed consistently in India, in compliance with local labor market conditions, India labor laws, and the company’s reward strategy. Flexibility, initiative, and attention to detail are essential for success in this fast-paced environment.
Position Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree with 2–3 years of relevant experience
- Experience conducting benchmarks and communicating outcomes to business and HR business partners.
- Excellent working knowledge of Excel and a passion for analyzing large data sets with attention to detail.
- Ability to operate independently and take ownership for your area of responsibility.
- Knowledge of Indian labor legislation and compensation practices.
- Good knowledge of English (spoken and written) is mandatory.
- Demonstrated logical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to systematically analyze complex data and situations to draw reasonable conclusions.

Position Description
- Serve as the point of contact for C&B-related issues in India and act as a credible internal specialist.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including the Head of local HR and HR Partners, to resolve compensation and benefits-related issues.
- Assist APAC C&B COE / India HRs in rolling out C&B projects such as annual performance appraisal cycles, implementation of new programs
- Support annual salary/budget planning and market analysis for India; submit salary survey data, analyze positions versus market, and formulate recommendations based on India benchmarks.
- Conduct benefits market analysis, implement new or revise existing benefit programs (e.g., health insurance, pension, welfare benefits) to improve competitiveness, and prepare communication for employees in India.
- Build consistency in C&B policies, plans, and programs in India, referencing both company reward strategy and India labor legislation.
Data Management
- Manage and ensure accuracy of benefits overviews and information available on the company intranet, tailored for India employees.
- Participate in the deployment and implementation of new C&B tools in India.
- Work closely with local C&B vendors such as insurers, brokers, and consulting firms.
- Track, review, and support administration including invoice control of benefits, renewal of insurance policies, etc., in accordance with India practices.
- Continuously seek improvements in data flows and automation opportunities in HR processes, considering India regulatory requirements.
- Stay updated on changes in India legislation and taxation impacting compensation and benefits practices.
