- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electronics, Electrical, Physics, Material Science, Chemical or other related fields).
- Experience in Failure Analysis (in a Semiconductor or Manufacturing set-up). Preferred but not required.
- Fundamental knowledge of failure analysis equipment/process (Optical microscope, SAM, SEM/EDX, Polisher/Grinder, Probe station, RIE, FTIR and Curve tracer).
- Good interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written); with capability to interface throughout all functions.
- Analytical and good problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge in 8D methodology, manufacturing/assembly/wafer fabrication process.

- Perform failure analysis on devices, circuits, and characterization of packages, materials or components of customer returned parts and other internal requests.
- Provide analytical assistance to process, product, NPI/NPD, and quality engineers or cross-functional team in the analysis of material, process and product-related problems.
- Initiate or develop improvements in 5S, Safety and FA process/methodologies. Document or update applicable specification.
- Generate a comprehensive technical report. Interface and collaborate with other FA laboratory sites or cross-functional team for the analysis results and review.
- Ensure compliance with company policies & standards, Global standardization and the best practices in the Laboratory.
