Position Description

Staff Product engineer for SiC CJFET Division for New Product Development

Candidate responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead High Power SiC JFET New Product Development and Package Development (NPD) projects
  • Facilitate and coordinate design, process, assembly, test and releasing of the product to market
  • Work closely with design, test, device engineers in varied locations in a team environment
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with all stakeholders for effective problem solving and completion of product development in a timely manner
  • Provide and coordinate technical support for the product line
  • Lead and facilitate cross-functional teams, establish relationships with key contacts in wafer fabs and assembly site for effective project coordination and execution.
  • Generate and maintain project documents such as product data sheets, test specifications, Engineering build requests, reliability test allocation, test related reports, project documents and support for other manufacturing related documentations.
  • Agile management for Project documentation
  • Project Management of time and cost sensitive projects as well as special projects
  • Collaboration and coordination of global functional teams
  • Prepare and present status updates, gate reviews of critical projects to the Project Review Board

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor/Masters Degree in Electrical/Electronics engineering, at least 6 years of device/product or test engineering experience in a semiconductor environment.
  • At least 3 years of semiconductor New Product Development (NPD) procedure and execution management experience
  • Project or Program Management experience of at least 3 years, PMP certification is an advantage.
  • Experience in semiconductor processes (silicon fabrication/probe testing/assembly/final testing)
  • Familiar with power devices operations and applications
  • Strong skills for interpersonal relations, negotiation, including collaboration and coordination with global cross functional teams
  • Proven track record of effective team leadership, problem solving and good engineering judgment
  • Good verbal and written communications skills
  • Strong knowledge of statistical data analysis and problem-solving tools
  • Ability to multitask & self-driven to produce results in a timely fashion with strong sense of urgency
