The Equipment Engineer will ensure the operational readiness and reliability of mold tooling and related equipment, responsible for procurement, repair, design & improvement review of mold tool tooling with supplier and cross functional team. He will address & recommend solutions for mold issues to the team.

Education
Preferably BS Degree in Mechanical or equivalent
Experience
Preferably with tooling experience or related field
- Skills and Knowledge Requirement
- Preferably have understanding of mold tooling design, setup, and maintenance.
- Skilled in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications using CAD and SolidWorks
- Preferably with knowledge in repairing and refurbishing mold tooling.
- Skilled in equipment setup, adjustment, and troubleshooting
- Capability to implement improvement projects
- Ability to work with suppliers and cross-functional teams for tooling design reviews
- Strong documentation skills for tooling specifications, repairs, and improvements.
- Proficient in instrumentation and metrology, utilizing both basic and advanced tools—including for high-accuracy inspection.
- Computer proficiency especially Microsoft office for maintaining documentation, generating reports, and supporting
•Coordinate procurement & repair of mold tooling and spare parts.
•Perform or oversee repair and refurbishment of mold tools to maintain operational readiness.
•Collaborate with suppliers and cross-functional teams to review mold tooling designs.
•Recommend and implement improvements for mold tooling performance and reliability.
•Diagnose mold-related equipment issues and propose corrective actions.
•Provide hands-on support for setup, adjustment, and troubleshooting of mold equipment.
•Support improvement projects such as EFAR Crack package enhancements like AFL bent WLF finger detection initiatives
•Maintain detailed records of mold tooling specifications, repairs, and improvements.
•Assist in knowledge transfer activities to preserve expertise within the team
•Act as a technical resource for mold-related activities, working closely with process engineers and equipment team
