OnSemi is seeking a Principal Analog design Engineer, NEW PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT, Power Management, to join our growing team in Bengaluru, India. This group is responsible for development of Power management products including LED drivers, SiC/MOS/IGBT/motor/GAN drivers, Switches and efuses for consumer, industrial and automotive applications. In this role, you will focus on the following
- Lead and design analog IP blocks from definition to IP delivery individually as well as an IP lead
- Evaluate intermediate and results of projects during the design phase and during silicon evaluation, to ensure accomplishment of technical objectives
- Work with and provide guidance to layout engg for your IP block and monitors the progress
- Collaborate with validation, product engineering and test engineering teams to enable successful transfer to production
- Collaborate with overseas design and systems teams on technical aspects, IP development, sharing of know-how
- Own technical outcomes of design, verification, implementation, and execution of power management ICs with complexities that can span from simple regulators to complex mixed-signal designs and control loops

Minimum Requirements
BS in Electrical Engineering or related 12 and above years of experience, or MS 10 and above years of experience
Qualification
- Solid track record of designing multiple complex IPs with Si learnings
- Understand and execute IP design, simulations methods, boundary conditions, stress and reliability simulations, PVT/PMC/SOA simulations.
- Extensive knowledge of engineering processes, principles, and methodologies
- Strong CMOS circuit design fundamentals, circuit architectures.
- Ability to clearly articulate issues, challenges, and concerns to all levels of management
- Good understanding of various building blocks like charge pump, LDOs, gate drivers, comparators, linear regulators, gm-stage and relevant Analog building blocks
- Understanding of LED drivers, SiC/GAN devices and drivers is a strong plus
- Strong Analog IC design skills, debug of complex silicon problems using simulations and/or bench testing
- Familiarity with advanced Bipolar, CMOS, and High Voltage BCD technology, Process, Device Physics, Semiconductor Manufacturing processes, and their impact on Analog performance
- understanding of power transistor Design, Layout, and Robustness
- Proficiency in leading-edge design and verification tools such as Simplis or MATLAB for architectural simulations, Cadence Spectre for schematic capture, simulation, layout, and tape-out
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to quickly ramp on new systems and processes
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions
- Ability to take the initiative and drive for results
