onsemi is searching for an Equipment Maintenance Technician to support the Fabrication Department in our facility in Hudson, NH. Under minimal supervision, this person will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting a variety of manufacturing & fabrication equipment. The Equipment Maintenance Technician ensures equipment and systems are running efficiently and at optimal capacity to meet manufacturing & fabrication needs. - High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 5+ years’ general equipment maintenance experience, with strong manufacturing background.
- Must have excellent mechanical and electrical aptitude.
- Understands electrical, mechanical, fluid power and controls systems.
- Experience working with detailed work instructions, and reading & interpreting blueprints & drawings.
- Can analyze the problem, synthesize alternative solutions, and perform repairs.
- Strong computer skills, including MS Office applications (Word, Excel).
- ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 experience.
- Read and understand technical/repair manuals and vendor resources.
- Hands on maintenance experience with operating, repairing, and troubleshooting of electrical and mechanical manufacturing equipment
- Experience using electrical testing equipment and expert knowledge and use of power and hand tools.
- Ability to work in a complex environment with broadly defined parameters. Requires a high degree of judgment and initiative.
- Capable of managing multiple priorities at a time.
- Ability to demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand and walk for 12-hour shifts.
- Back End Nights Shift (Thursday, Friday, Saturday and every other Wednesday: 6pm-6am)
- Must be self-motivated, showing initiative and drive to exceed performance expectations.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and adjust to rapidly changing priorities.
Preferred:
- AA degree, Vocational High School Technical training or technical trade certificate is a plus.
- Knowledge of and ability to follow 5S methodology, LEAN a plus.
- Strong computer skills, including MES & SAP, preferred.
- Performs hands-on preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing of industrial automated fabrication equipment on a daily basis.
- Documents routine preventive maintenance on PM checklists, record data if applicable and maintain completed checklist/history in tool logbook
- Communicates issues with third party equipment vendors as needed to expedite troubleshooting and repairs
- Sustains and improves Preventative Maintenance Program on all fabrication/processing equipment.
- Authors accurate documentation for the operation and maintenance of various automated industrial equipment.
- Test, tune, and adjust equipment to obtain optimum operating performance.
- Report spare part requirements.
- Determines type of repairs to be performed, approves, and suggests modifications to equipment, and analyzes results to evaluate equipment performance.
- Develops or improves techniques to meet quality, function, and cost standards.
- Works with electrical systems and electronic components of complex industrial machinery and equipment, following manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, and other specifications
- Utilizes predictive maintenance technologies to collect equipment performance data. Observes trends and makes recommendations.
- Ability to troubleshoot and follow through with repairs of manufacturing equipment and electronic controls.
- Responsible for performing scheduled and unscheduled preventative maintenance tasks using CMMS system.
- Responds to unplanned urgent needs in having equipment repairs performed minimizing down time.
- Utilized a variety of hand and power tools to construct, renovate and repair equipment.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related duties as requested.
