Job Summary:
onsemi is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Manufacturing Wafer Fab Supervisor as an integral member of the management team managing a team of maintenance and equipment technicians in the Wafer Probe Operations and accountable for the mission of driving tool stability, overall output, probe card shop, and tool installations. The successful candidate will find they have a daily opportunity to make a significant difference to a growing, emerging, and energetic organization. The successful candidate will have significant leadership and engineering / technical experience in a high-paced manufacturing environment, with the ability to engage a diverse team.
Performance Objectives
- Lead and manage the daily activities of the production floor focused on meeting or exceeding the assigned projects, performance metrics, and tasks.
- Direct efforts in responding to planned and urgent unplanned events to ensure FAB operations meet production, delivery, quality, and cost objectives
- Translate business strategies into clear and specific plans for action and execute to those plans.
- Will demonstrate a sense of urgency while performing all tasks without jeopardizing safety and quality.
- Perform regular formal and informal employee performance assessments; determine raises and bonuses working within prescribed proscribed budgets and guidelines
- Participate and drive formal structured problem solving after an event occurs to determine root cause and institute changes to prevent reoccurrence. Use data trends and alarm indicators to drive system operations on a day-to-day basis
- Be an agent for change, challenge the status quo, and drive "Best in Class" performance for critical success indicators across the Enterprise in a manner that encourages and achieves “buy in” by all stakeholders
- Ensures compliance across the production floor with all Standard Operating Procedures, Safety procedures/policies and all HR/Corporate policies.
- Ensure that process equipment meets the required qualifications prior to use, utilize statistical process control (SPC) techniques, and maintain the cleanliness and safety of the work area.
- Educate, coach and mentor direct and indirect reports as they progress in their career. Work with direct reports in establishing company and career goals in the form of development plans and training
- Establish, promote, and foster a work environment characterized by mutual trust and respect, open and honest communications, teamwork, and a passion for winning
- Occasional travel may be required
- Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements, and programs

Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering/Technical field
- Experience: 10+ plus years of semiconductor experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
- 3+ years of leadership experience in positions with a demonstrated ability in an engineering or operations discipline
- Fluent in the English Language – written & verbal
- Must have the permanent right to work in the US without sponsorship
Preferred
- Strong Lean skills with demonstrated GEMBA leadership experience
- Direct experience with 300mm semiconductor equipment or engineering
- Strong “hands on” technical skills
- A passion to lead, manage and direct a group of Engineers and Technicians with experience in semiconductor process or maintenance
- Self-motivated and results-oriented with a demonstrated track record of facility maintenance and improvements
- Proven leadership, a self-starter, and a team player with excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills
- History of execution with change management; continuous improvement methodologies, disciplines, and practices
- Intermediate to Expert Proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or Google applications for data analysis and communication
- Demonstrated experience and proficiency in project management
