Preferred Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Strong interest in semiconductor manufacturing, device physics, materials, or advanced process technologies.
- Experience with laboratory work, experimentation, or data analysis (coursework or projects acceptable).
- Working knowledge of Excel, Python, JMP, or similar analysis tools is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Hourly Pay : onsemi is excited to share the base salary range for this position is $36.00 to $42.00 exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. We are seeking a highly motivated and curious Summer Intern to support our New Technology Development team. This role offers hands-on experience working with cutting‑edge processes, tools, and materials as we develop next‑generation technologies. The intern will work directly with engineers and cross‑functional partners to execute experiments, analyze data, and contribute to advancing key development milestones.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the development, setup, and execution of process experiments for emerging technologies.
- Collect, organize, and analyze experimental data; summarize findings and provide recommendations.
- Support tool qualifications, process characterization, and capability studies.
- Prepare test wafers, run production and non‑production tools, and follow defined operating procedures.
- Troubleshoot basic process or equipment issues under the guidance of engineering mentors.
- Document experimental results, create technical presentations, and communicate updates to the broader team.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to problem‑solving discussions.
