Onsemi is seeking a skilled Manufacturing Equipment Technician to support our semiconductor fabrication operations during day shift. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical expertise, performing both preventative maintenance and advanced electrical/mechanical troubleshooting across a wide range of semiconductor manufacturing equipment. In this team-based environment, you will work closely with equipment, process, and production engineering teams to provide high-quality products to our customers, on time.

Shift: 7:00am-3:30pm – 5 days a week

• 5 years of professional maintenance experience in a cleanroom manufacturing environment or Minimum AAS in Electronics, Electro-Mechanical, Electrical Technology, or a Military Electronics degree

• Must be willing to work with various hazardous gases and chemicals.

• Must be able to wear full face airline respirator for extended periods of time.

• Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude is required to succeed in this role.

• Ability to define, initiate, and manage maintenance events that improve tool function and metrics.

• Experience maintaining deposition, anneal, or growth furnaces is preferred, but not required.

• Experience supporting or maintaining Akrion Wets Benches.

• Use hand tools including wrenches, calipers, voltage/current meters, oscilloscopes, and other various equipment technology specific tooling

• A strong understanding and working knowledge of the following systems is beneficial: pneumatic/hydraulic pump systems, multi axis servo systems, optical components, chillers & cooling systems.

• Familiarity with Robotic / Automated handling systems & vacuum systems

• Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl up to 1/3 of the time. Must be able to lift 50 pounds.

• Must be able to work in both an office and anti-static clean room environment.

• Strong communicator, who can effectively work with a team of manufacturing operators, process engineers, as well as other technicians.

• Fluency in English Language – written & verbal


• Demonstrate strong mechanical and electrical aptitude and show initiative to support multiple tool platforms in Wet Cleans and Diffusion sections.

• Perform electrical, mechanical and software troubleshooting to determine problems in non-functioning equipment

• Provide technical and hands-on service supporting semiconductor manufacturing equipment.

• Respond to equipment alarms, failures, and process parameter violations.

• Use test and diagnostic equipment to identify the root cause of mechanical failures and implement corrective actions.

• Provide detailed maintenance reports and pass downs to the team regarding daily issues and activities.

• Complete and maintain required documentation for quality and safety standards.

• Commit to participating in and maintaining a safe work environment.

• Provide feedback on procedures in an independent and efficient manner.

• Perform equipment modifications as directed by engineers.

• Participate in Maintenance or cross-functional teams such as 5S+ and CIP.

• Work with outside vendors as required
