- Completed any Technical course
- At least 4 years related experience
- EDM process expertise (work holding, electrode selection, burn/wire parameters, heat‑affected considerations, flushing).
- Proficient in blueprint reading (GD&T), tolerancing to ±0.005 mm (as required by job), and surface finish requirements.
- Metrology proficiency: micrometer, bore gauge, dial test indicator, height gauge, surface roughness check, and vision/Quick Vision systems.
- Basic CAD/CAM literacy (reading models, setting offsets, importing programs) is an advantage.
- Strong troubleshooting on taper/kerf compensation, wire breakage, arcing, recast, and electrode wear.
- Safety, quality, and documentation discipline.
- Set up, program (where applicable), and operate EDM Wire Cut, EDM Super Drill, and EDM Die Sinker per job travelers and technical specs.
- Interpret engineering drawings/3D models; select electrodes/fixtures; define optimal cutting strategies (offsets, flushing, burn parameters).
- Verify part conformance using precision instruments (micrometers, calipers, height gauge, gauge blocks, profile projector/vision system); document results.
- Perform first‑article verification and adhere to in‑process inspection checkpoints and control plans.
- Optimize cycle time, surface finish, and dimensional accuracy; recommend parameter/tooling improvements.
- Conduct routine maintenance (alignment checks, wire path, guides, dielectric/flushing, filtration) and escalate abnormalities promptly.
- Coordinate with CNC/Lathe/Grinding cells for multi‑process jobs; ensure correct hand‑off and traceability.
- Comply with 5S, safety, ESD (if applicable), LOTO, and IMS/QA procedures; complete job travelers and production logs accurately.
- Support Kaizen, TPM, and LSS activities; contribute to cost‑down and scrap reduction initiatives.
