onsemi, based in East Fishkill, New York, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Probe Test Equipment & Engineering Technician to join our N2 shift team. This hybrid role combines both equipment-focused and process-focused responsibilities in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. In this position, you will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and calibration on probe test equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime. You will also support engineering teams by assisting with experiments, data collection, process monitoring, and responding to equipment alarms.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on technician with strong problem‑solving abilities, attention to detail, and a passion for continuous improvement in semiconductor manufacturing processes.

Qualifications
- Minimum of an associate’s degree in electronics or equivalent experience
- Strong computer skills (Windows and Microsoft Office)
- Able to work in a cleanroom environment
- Strong understanding of component-level electronics
- Ability to read block diagrams of electronics
- Ability to follow a detailed procedure
- Capable of lifting 40 pounds
- Ability to work a 12-hour shift
- A high level of attention to detail
- The ability to be self-motivated and to handle multiple tasks
- Be able to evaluate a schedule and prioritize work based on that schedule and/or change priorities

Hourly: onsemi is excited to share the base salary range for this position is $21.20 to $36.92 exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses.The final pay rate for the successful candidate will depend on geographic location, skills, education, experience, and/or consideration of internal equity of our current team members. Responsibilities:
- Ensuring the continuous and error-free operation of testers
- Executing on planned preventative maintenance (PM) and troubleshooting any issues
- Debugging failures on the production line, pushing into board-level concepts to analyze what went wrong – and how to fix it
- Determining whether production yield hits are driven by tester or process interactions
- Responding to equipment alarms, pauses, and alerts
- Calibrating equipment to ensure accurate operation
- Working with common lab equipment to solder, repair, measure, and analyze
- Teaming up with tool owners to create and improve work instructions (WIs), procedures, and best practices for performing maintenance
- Thoroughly documenting all work and enabling a frictionless passthrough to day shifts
- Communicating with engineering and other groups at the fab
