Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or equivalent technical degree; MSEE a plus.
- Solid understanding of semiconductor device physics, including MOSFET, BJT, resistor, capacitor, and diode operation.
- Experience analyzing parametric data with statistical tools (e.g., JMP, Python, or similar).
- Programming experience in C/C++, Python, or tester‑specific scripting languages.
- Strong troubleshooting, root‑cause analysis, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to cross‑functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Agilent/Keysight parametric testers, test methodologies, and associated probe systems.
- High degree of programming skills across multiple languages.
- Familiarity with semiconductor manufacturing flows and inline parametric test strategies.
- Understanding of reliability test methodologies (e.g., BTI, HCI, TDDB).
Key responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and optimize parametric test programs on Agilent/Keysight test systems (e.g., 4070 series or similar).
- Maintain the framework responsible for driving the entire Agilent/Keysight testing cell.
- Characterize device electrical parameters, including threshold voltage, leakage, drive currents, resistance, capacitance, breakdown characteristics, etc.
- Collaborate with Device Engineering, Technology Development, and New Product Introduction (NPI) engineering teams to diagnose electrical issues and propose corrective actions.
- Perform data analysis on large parametric data sets to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for process and test improvements.
- Drive improvements in test throughput, measurement accuracy, and data quality.
- Document test procedures, specifications, and engineering change notices.
- Train technicians and engineers in parametric test usage and best practices.
- Own parametric test Cpk trends and summaries across multiple technologies.
Agilent / Keysight Framework Responsibilities
- Develop, debug, and optimize test programs using the Agilent Parametric Measurement Framework (PMF), including:
- Test Definition Environment (TDE) for device-level test setup and structure creation.
- Test Plan Manager (TPM) for building reusable test plan libraries.
- Measurement Modules (MM) configuration: SMUs, VMUs, HRSMUs, CV modules, pulse measurement modules, and switch matrix routing.
- Configure and maintain the Agilent 4070 series or equivalent parametric testers, including diagnostic routines and system-level performance verification.
- Build and maintain test templates, framework libraries, and device-specific measurement blocks to standardize parametric testing across products.
- Develop automated guard-banding, compliance, auto-ranging, and settling routines aligned with device physics principles to ensure measurement accuracy, repeatability, and optimal test times.
- Oversee probe-card DIB (Device Interface Board) definitions, pin maps, and switch matrix routes within the Agilent framework.
