onsemi is seeking an experienced Senior Recruiter with deep expertise in semiconductor hiring and US staffing to support end-to-end recruitment for highly specialized technical roles. This is a remote contract position that requires alignment with US business hours and close collaboration with US-based hiring managers and stakeholders.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of technical recruiting experience, with a strong focus on semiconductor, hardware, or deep-tech engineering roles.
  • Proven US staffing experience, including recruiting for US-based roles and working with US hiring managers.
  • Ability and willingness to work in US time zones as part of a global recruiting model.
  • Hands-on experience with ATS platforms such as Oracle Recruiting Cloud (ORC), Taleo, and Workday.
  • Strong expertise in sourcing through LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, job portals, referrals, market mapping, and passive candidate engagement.
  • Solid understanding of semiconductor technologies, job families, and technical skill sets.
  • Demonstrated success in sourcing and hiring niche, hard-to-find technical talent.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while managing multiple priorities.
  • Experience recruiting for global or multi-site teams is a strong plus.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, matrixed, and performance-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle recruitment for technical and engineering roles within the semiconductor domain, including Design, Product, Applications, Manufacturing, Test, Process, and R&D roles.
  • Support US staffing requirements by working closely with US-based hiring managers and HR partners across multiple time zones.
  • Operate during US working hours to enable real-time collaboration, interview coordination, and decision-making.
  • Drive the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle, including requisition intake, sourcing, screening, interviews, offers, and onboarding support.
  • Utilize Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) such as Oracle Recruiting Cloud (ORC), Taleo, and Workday to manage requisitions, pipelines, interview workflows, offer processes, and hiring metrics.
  • Source, screen, and assess candidates across engineering, corporate strategy, manufacturing, and operations functions.
  • Develop and execute robust sourcing strategies using LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, job portals, referrals, talent mapping, Boolean searches, and direct sourcing techniques.
  • Build strong talent pipelines through proactive sourcing on multiple platforms beyond LinkedIn, including niche job boards and professional networks.
  • Conduct in-depth candidate screening to evaluate technical skills, experience, and cultural fit while ensuring an excellent candidate experience.
  • Coordinate interview scheduling across global time zones, manage feedback loops, and support offer management through the ATS.
  • Partner closely with hiring managers to understand role requirements, workforce planning needs, and evolving business priorities.
  • Maintain accurate recruitment data, reports, compliance records, and audit readiness within the ATS.
  • Provide market intelligence on US semiconductor talent trends, compensation benchmarks, candidate availability, and hiring challenges.
  • Ensure compliance with company hiring policies, US staffing regulations, diversity initiatives, and ethical recruitment standards.
  • Continuously identify opportunities to improve recruiting processes, sourcing effectiveness, and stakeholder engagement.
