The Facilities Building and Grounds Manager provides leadership, direction, and operational oversight for the Facilities Utility Associate team at the Mountain Top, Pennsylvania site. This role is responsible for the overall maintenance, safety, functionality, and appearance of the facility and its surrounding grounds. The Manager oversees Utility Associates, manages shipping and receiving operations, coordinates contractor activities, and ensures all facilities and grounds remain clean, and compliant with organizational standards.
This position requires regular collaboration with Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Management, Security, Safety, and Environmental teams.
The Facilities Building and Grounds Manager reports to the Senior Facilities Manager and is expected to operate with minimal supervision while maintaining a high level of accountability and professionalism.

- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- 6+ years facilities related experience.
- Experience in leading a team and/or project.
- A working knowledge of Facilities building and grounds maintenance and shipping / receiving standards.
- Must be a self-starter with experience in a team environment.
- Must have good organizational, communication, verbal, and written, skills.
- Must have computer skills using MS Word, Excel, Project, Power Point.
- Demonstrated experience in departmental budgeting, staff development, and administrative operations.
- Strong sense of urgency with the ability to excel in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment while meeting critical deadlines.
- Proven ability to interpret and communicate technical information and make sound, cost‑effective decisions among multiple alternatives.
- Excellent organizational, planning, problem‑solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high accountability.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications with strong general computer skills.
- Supervise the Facilities Building & Grounds departments, including approximately (8) Utility Associates in a union environment; oversee training and development of direct reports.
- Lead daily morning meetings to align team priorities and communicate operational needs.
- Manage upkeep of all indoor, outdoor, and Fab Manufacturing areas, including landscaping, parking lots, walkways, and exterior structures.
- Coordinate seasonal ground activities such as snow removal, salting, leaf cleanup, and lawn maintenance.
- Ensure all facility areas remain safe, clean, compliant, and visually well‑maintained.
- Initiate and execute efficiency and cost‑reduction projects.
- Develop and enforce procedures that support clean, productive, and safe work environments.
- Assign daily tasks, monitor progress, and ensure quality of work, along with job assignment crosstraining.
- Assist with annual budget planning; monitor expenses and ensure cost‑effective use of resources.
- Manage procurement of supplies/materials; coordinate vendor services and obtain competitive quotes.
- Perform all duties in compliance with onsemi policies, collective bargaining agreements, and applicable laws.
