Role Overview
The CAMSTAR Data Modeler is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data models within the Siemens Camstar Manufacturing Execution System (MES). This role ensures that MES data structures align with manufacturing requirements, system architecture, and business process standards. The position requires strong technical knowledge of CAMSTAR modeling tools, understanding of manufacturing workflows, and hands-on experience in MES configuration.

Requirements:
- Degree in Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, IT, or related field.
- 2–5 years of experience working with Siemens Camstar MES in a data modeling or MES configuration role.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (assembly to test operation)
- Experience with Object Modeling, SQL queries, and relational database structures.
- Knowledge of MES modules such as WIP Tracking, Resource Management, Data Collection, and Electronic Batch Records.
- Understanding of software validation, change control, and controlled document practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and maintain data models in Siemens Camstar MES, including Data Collections, Process Models, Specifications, Containers, and Workflows.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, and quality teams to translate business requirements into MES data structures.
- Create and optimize data flows, master data setups, and relational mapping to support production operations.
- Perform impact analysis, version control, and validation of MES data model changes.
- Serve as the liaison between the internal customer community and the software development team.
- Troubleshoot technical and functional issues for production system incidents.
- Ensure compliance and other regulatory requirements.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation such as functional specs, design specs, configuration guides, and data dictionaries.
- Supporting End-users in training, reporting and transaction problems.
