onsemi is seeking an Equipment Maintenance Technician – Thin Films (Metals)Nights for the Hopewell Junction site. We are seeking a dependable, safety-oriented Night Shift Kit Changer to support Thin Films Metals' operations. This position is responsible for staging and exchanging kits, as well as maintaining thin-film process equipment and components across deposition tools to ensure continuous production uptime. The ideal candidate demonstrates a strong commitment to safety, adherence to 5S principles, and operational excellence, while effectively working in a fast-paced, high-tech manufacturing environment.

Schedule: Night Shift 1- Sunday, Monday, Tuesday e/o Saturday. 6:30 pm-7:00 am. 15% night shift differential is included

Schedule Night Shift 2: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, every other Saturday from 6:30 pm -7:00 am, 15% night shift differential is included

Sign-on Bonus: $2,500

Qualifications

Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to work a 12-hour night shift compressed schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety and procedural adherence
  • Basic computer skills and the ability to learn manufacturing systems
  • Ability to lift, move, and handle equipment/components (up to 35lbs)
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Preferred

  • Experience in semiconductor, thin films, or advanced manufacturing environments
  • Familiarity with vacuum systems, deposition tools, or metals processes
  • Prior experience with 5S or lean manufacturing practices

Hourly: onsemi is excited to share the base salary range for this position is $21.20 to $36.92 exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses.The final pay rate for the successful candidate will depend on geographic location, skills, education, experience, and/or consideration of internal equity of our current team members. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform kit changes and component swaps on Thin Films metals equipment according to standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Support equipment uptime by ensuring kits are properly prepared, inspected, and staged for quick turnaround
  • Adhere to all safety protocols, including proper use of PPE and hazard identification
  • Maintain strict 5S standards (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) in all work areas
  • Conduct basic visual inspections of parts for wear, contamination, or defects
  • Accurately document kit changes, maintenance activities, and tool status in designated systems
  • Collaborate with technicians, engineers, and shift teams to resolve issues quickly
  • Support continuous improvement efforts and escalate abnormalities promptly
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of staging and storage areas
  • Follow all company policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
