We seek an L&D Business Partner to act as a strategic connector between the Global Learning & Development Center of Excellence (L&D COE) and business/operational units. This role ensures that Global, Regional, Country and Site L&D solutions align with functional needs and drive measurable impact across workforce development initiatives. The role is responsible for Learning & Development in Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand.

Qualifications & Experience

Required:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in HR, Organizational Development, or a related field.
  2. 5+ years of experience in HR, L&D, or business partnering roles.
  3. Strong stakeholder management, consulting, adult learning and facilitation skills.

Preferred:

  1. Experience in manufacturing or technical training environments.
  2. Certifications in L&D, coaching or talent development.

Key Responsibilities

Business Alignment & Learning Advocacy

  1. Serve as the primary L&D liaison for business units, operational organizations, and manufacturing sites ensuring learning initiatives support functional goals.
  2. Champion technical and production training in collaboration with Manufacturing Learning Leads.
  3. Ensure enterprise programs align with regional and manufacturing-specific needs.
  4. Assess workforce skill gaps, training needs, and performance challenges to recommend targeted learning solutions.
  5. Advocate for L&D integration into talent management, leadership development, organizational development and career progression strategies.

Stakeholder Collaboration & Needs Assessment

  1. Partner with HR, operational leaders and subject matter experts (SME) to align training programs with business priorities.
  2. Support change management efforts related to learning initiatives, ensuring employee engagement and adoption.
  3. Proficient in English and local language for effective communication within the country and with Regional and with Global partners.
  4. Able to prepare and send out localized announcements based on corporate, regional, country and site L&D and other related programs.

Continuous Improvement & Learning Impact

  1. Gather and analyze feedback from business units to enhance learning program effectiveness.
  2. Collaborate with Corporate Instructional Designers and Learning Architects to optimize training content and delivery methods.
  3. Owns and share Country Training Calendar for training programs and leadership sharing series with leaders and employees.
  4. Able to teach and facilitate virtually or face to face for training and development programs in courses certified in English and local language.
  5. Able to create training materials using company approved apps e.g. Camtasia and Microsoft ClipChamp.
  6. Able to use Learning+ system or other company LMS systems to update local training records including translation.
  7. Act as Training Auditee for customer and surveillance audits.
  8. Able to run evaluation in Learning+ and other vendor provided evaluation as needed, for all training and development programs.

Country Specific Role

  1. Support Country HR Leader and Stakeholders on both L&D and OD related needs including Succession Planning; employee engagement surveys and related programs.
  2. Able to create and launch local follow up announcements to all leaders and employees on topics related to L&D and OD.
  3. Able to travel to support leaders and employees at different sites if needed.
  4. Able to support local HR related activities as assigned by Country HR Leader.
  5. For Malaysia, must be well versed and on top of HRDF requirements for all eligible programs.
