onsemi is seeking a highly driven and strategic leader to join the Procurement organization as Director, External Strategic Sourcing – Backend (BE), based in Taiwan. This role is critical to leading engagement with key backend subcontractors (assembly & test partners) across Asia and driving the company’s external manufacturing strategy. Located close to major suppliers, you will serve as the primary executive interface to subcontractors, ensuring strong partnership, cost competitiveness, supply assurance, and technology alignment. You will lead a regional/global team and work closely with Business Units, Operations, and Supply Chain to deliver both strategic direction and hands-on execution in a fast-paced environment.

- 15+ years semiconductor experience in backend sourcing
- Proven leadership of global teams
- Strong negotiation experience
- Understanding of backend manufacturing
- Cross-functional collaboration
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Lead and develop a regional/global sourcing team focused on backend subcontractors
- Define and execute BE outsourcing strategy aligned with corporate and regional objectives
- Serve as Taiwan-based executive interface to key suppliers
- Balance long-term strategy with operational execution
- Own relationships with Asia-based backend subcontractors
- Drive Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) strategy
- Conduct Executive Business Reviews (EBRs)
- Monitor regional market trends and supplier capabilities
- Lead pricing, contract, SOW, and NRE negotiations
- Drive RFQs and supplier benchmarking
- Establish long-term agreements for cost and capacity
- Drive cost roadmap and value engineering initiatives
