onsemi is seeking a reliable and motivated Central Utility Plant (CUP) Operator to support our site, Hopewell Junction, the safe and efficient operation of our facility’s utility systems. This role is ideal for candidates looking to grow their career in facilities operations while working a compressed work week on the night shift.
The operator will assist in monitoring and operating critical infrastructure, including boilers, chillers, HVAC systems, and associated equipment.
Night 2: 6:30 PM-7:00 AM Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, e/o Saturday, extra 15% night shift differential

Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (technical or vocational training preferred)
- Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn plant operations
- Ability to work 12-hour overnight shifts on a rotating schedule
Hourly: onsemi is excited to share the base salary range for this position is $21.20 to $36.92 exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. The final pay rate for the successful candidate will depend on geographic location, skills, education, experience, and/or consideration of internal equity of our current team members. Key Responsibilities
- Monitor, operate, and adjust plant equipment (boilers, chillers, pumps, cooling towers, etc.)
- Perform routine inspections and log readings of all utility systems
- Respond to alarms and abnormal system conditions
- Assist with basic maintenance and troubleshooting of plant equipment
- Maintain accurate operational logs and reports
- Follow all safety procedures, environmental regulations, and company policies
- Communicate effectively with teammates during shift turnover
- Support emergency response as needed
