onsemi is seeking a Hardware Design and Manufacturing Engineer at our Nampa, Idaho site. Who will be responsible for advanced troubleshooting of metrology equipment maintenance, repair, and conversions?
In the role of Hardware Design and Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for all aspects of probe card and process development, equipment operation, and maintenance. Responsibilities will include probe card design, continuous improvement, partnering closely with vendors, resolution of quality issues, identifying cost-effective probe card & PCB solutions, and defining maintenance processes and procedures.

Minimum Requirements:
• BS or industry-related experience in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering
• 3- 5 years of experience in a combination of probe card repair, troubleshooting, and PCB HIB/Probe Card design
• PRVX, MicroVu, and light control module experience is a plus
• Effective communications with internal and external customers, effective presentation skills
• Strong acumen toward safety and accounts for safety and ergonomic considerations in designs and engineering solutions
• Preferred experience is in a repetitive, high-volume manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities include:
• Probe card design for new products
• Estimate probe card repair costs and time standards, and make recommendations for improvements
• Track/document probe cards and card settings in Camstar/PCT/General Settings
• Prober device file builds and modifications
• Analyze metrology tool data to determine opportunities for improvement in design and maintenance
• Probe card modification, troubleshooting, and repair
• Create and fine-tune probe card cleaning/maintenance routines to maximize probe card lifespan
• Create and debug all new probe card reference files on PRVX/VX4’s
• Create FFI Image Capture routines on the MicroVu
• Develop project cost and Return on Investment (ROI) modeling
• Develop training programs for production, equipment support, and engineering
• Evaluate customer requirements and work with suppliers in addressing these requirements
