The Board Repair Technician is responsible for performing troubleshooting, diagnostics, and component-level repair of defective printed circuit boards (PCBs), power supplies, and electronic assemblies used in manufacturing equipment and test systems. This role supports equipment reliability, spare availability, and operational efficiency by restoring failed boards, minimizing equipment downtime, and ensuring repaired units meet quality and performance standards.

  • Perform component-level troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of defective PCBs, power supplies, and electronic assemblies.
  • Analyze circuit behavior using schematics, block diagrams, and technical documentation.
  • Utilize electronic test and measurement equipment such as oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, and Huntron Trackers to identify and isolate faults.
  • Conduct functional testing and validation of repaired boards to ensure compliance with quality and reliability requirements.
  • Support emergency repair activities for critical out-of-spare boards and power supplies used in production equipment.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Maintenance teams to improve equipment uptime and operational efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate repair records, failure analyses, and corrective action reports.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance repair quality, turnaround time, and repair capacity.
  • Provide technical support and knowledge sharing to team members and other stakeholders.
  • Adhere to ESD, IPC, safety, and quality standards during repair and testing activities.
  • Support preventive maintenance activities and spare management programs to ensure the availability of critical assemblies.
