Qualifications
- BS in Electrical Engineering or related + 18 years of experience, or MS + 14 years of experience
- Solid track record of releasing complex ICs/IPs to market
- Extensive knowledge of engineering processes, principles, and methodologies
- Goal and outcome-focused with the ability to handle multiple projects within the team
- Experience in simplifying complex problems into smaller problems and solving them as a team
- Ability to clearly articulate issues, challenges, and concerns to all levels of management
- Strong understanding of various Power Converters such as Buck, Boost, LDOs, gate drivers, comparators, linear regulators gm-stage and relevant Analog building blocks
- Strong understanding of control loop theories, topologies and architectures for Constant-on-time, Peak, and Valley Current Mode, Voltage Mode control loops
- Strong Analog IC design skills, debug of complex silicon problems using simulations and/or bench testing
- Familiarity with advanced Bipolar, CMOS, and High Voltage BCD technology, Process, Device Physics, Semiconductor Manufacturing processes, and their impact on Analog performance
- Understanding of large power transistor (LDMOS) Design, Layout, and Robustness
- Proficiency in leading-edge design and verification tools such as Simplis or MATLAB for architectural simulations, Cadence Spectre for schematic capture, simulation, layout, and tape-out
- Ability to establish strong relationships with key stakeholders critical to success, both internally and externally
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to quickly ramp on new systems and processes
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions

onsemi is excited to share the base salary range for this position is $169,050.00 - $287,500.00 Range exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. The final pay rate for the successful candidate will depend on geographic location, skills, education, experience, and/or consideration of internal equity of our current team members. Responsibilities
- Lead an Analog IC design team with product ownership and responsibility from definition to release to manufacturing
- Make assignments for team members, providing design guidance as needed, developing schedules and monitoring progress throughout the project
- Evaluate intermediate and final results of projects during the design phase and during silicon evaluation, to ensure accomplishment of technical objectives.
- Work with and provide guidance to physical designers and monitors the progress of IC layout
- Work with systems engineers, application engineers and marketing to prepare product briefs, datasheets, application notes and assisting in the definition of the product to meet customer needs as well as contributing to roadmap formulation and new concept creation
- Define IP test plan and execution working along with product and test engineer.
- Define and manage IP quality standard for both industrial and automotive applications
- Collaborate with validation, product engineering and test engineering teams to enable successful transfer to production
- Interface and lead discussions with the customer and/or onsemi field sales/field applications teams to understand customer designs, problems and support as required
- Actively participate in hiring, developing and evaluating personnel to ensure efficient operation of the organization and growth of the individuals into leader
- Provide technical leadership in driving architecture design and circuit design based on high-level specifications
- Own technical outcome of design, verification, implementation, and execution of Power Management ICs with complexities that can span from simple regulators to complex designs, control loops, and digital interfaces
- Understand project goals, create a realistic schedule and resource plan, track execution schedule to plan, monitor progress, and provide full clarity to the team on the goals and objectives
