Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED
- Ability to lift 35 pounds continuously
- Able to stand and walk for 12 hours, able to lift, bend, reach, and twist repetitively.
- Must be able to understand oral & written communications in English
- Ability to work independently, follow and complete a daily schedule, and monitor work results
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers throughout the Gresham campus
- Ability to work with other members of the team to ensure that all custodial needs are met
- A valid Oregon driver's license is preferred
- Knowledge of custodial, janitorial, or housekeeping practices is a plus
Job duties will include:
- Perform general custodial duties, including emptying wastebaskets, cleaning walls and other surfaces, cleaning windows and mirrors, cleaning and sanitizing toilets, sinks, showers, filling dispensers, dusting, sweeping, stripping, waxing, and buffing floors, vacuuming and shampooing carpets, collecting and picking up litter and garbage, and washing outside windows.
- Position will require cleaning and trash removal of clean rooms, and wearing of clean room garments is required.
- Follow chemical usage directions and departmental procedures to clean, sanitize, and maintain a clean, inviting, and safe working environment.
- Follow departmental standards and procedures for handling chemicals, equipment, infectious waste, recycling, and trash disposal.
- Restock supplies and use resources effectively to preserve equipment and use supplies cost-effectively.
- Provide support for events, including setting up and taking down furniture and equipment.
