onsemi is seeking a highly driven and strategic leader to join the Procurement organization as Director of Foundry Sourcing, based in Scottsdale, Arizona or San Jose, California. This role is critical to leading engagement with key semiconductor foundry partners and shaping the company’s external wafer manufacturing strategy. You will serve as the primary executive interface to strategic foundries, ensuring strong partnerships, market-competitive cost, supply assurance, technology access, and alignment with onsemi’s product and manufacturing roadmaps. You will lead a global team and work closely with Business Units, Technology Development, Operations, Quality, Finance, Legal, and Supply Chain to deliver both strategic direction and hands-on execution in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of semiconductor industry experience, including significant responsibility in foundry sourcing, wafer manufacturing, supply chain, operations, or a related field
  • Proven experience leading and developing global teams and influencing across complex, matrixed organizations
  • Strong record of negotiating wafer pricing, capacity, technology, and complex long-term commercial agreements
  • Deep understanding of semiconductor foundry economics, process technologies, wafer manufacturing, supply dynamics, and supplier cost drivers
  • Demonstrated ability to translate Business Unit and technology requirements into actionable sourcing strategies
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, supply chain, business, finance, or a related field

Preferred Qualifications

  • Based in or able to work from Scottsdale, Arizona or San Jose, California, with flexibility for global travel
  • Established network and executive-level relationships within the global foundry ecosystem
  • Experience sourcing across mature, specialty, and advanced process technologies
  • Advanced degree and a track record of delivering sustained cost, capacity, technology, and risk-management results

Supplier Relationship & Market Leadership

  • Own executive relationships with strategic foundry partners and cultivate partnerships beyond transactional sourcing
  • Drive Supplier Relationship Management strategy, including governance, joint roadmaps, and executive alignment
  • Lead Executive Business Reviews and ensure clear follow-through on strategic commitments
  • Monitor foundry market dynamics, technology trends, capacity conditions, geopolitical risks, and supplier capabilities

Commercial & Negotiation Leadership

  • Lead negotiations for wafer pricing, capacity, technology access, contracts, statements of work, and non-recurring engineering
  • Drive RFQs, should-cost analysis, market benchmarking, and fact-based supplier counterproposals
  • Structure agreements that secure supply and flexibility while managing long-term commitments, commercial risk, and total cost
  • Develop multi-year cost roadmaps and value-creation initiatives in partnership with suppliers and internal stakeholders

Operational Execution & Cross-Functional Alignment

  • Partner with Supply Chain and Planning to translate demand forecasts into foundry capacity and sourcing plans
  • Support new product introductions, process qualifications, wafer ramps, transfers, and continuity plans
  • Align foundry partners with product, process technology, quality, cycle-time, and manufacturing roadmaps
  • Coordinate decisions and execution across global Business Units, Engineering, Operations, Quality, Finance, Legal, and Supply Chain teams

Performance Management & Continuous Improvement

  • Establish and manage supplier KPIs across cost, quality, delivery, cycle time, capacity, technology, and responsiveness
  • Lead commercial and operational corrective actions, escalation management, and continuous improvement
  • Optimize the foundry supplier portfolio to improve competitiveness, resilience, and technology coverage
  • Deliver measurable savings, cost avoidance, cash-flow improvement, and supply-risk reduction
