Position Summary
Onsemi is seeking a Facilities Technician to provide hands-on support for facility infrastructure, life safety systems, building maintenance, and general site improvement projects. This role works closely with senior technicians and skilled trades personnel to maintain the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of facility systems. Responsibilities include assisting with fire suppression and life safety systems, environmental monitoring equipment, mechanical maintenance, construction and repair projects, and routine facility upkeep activities throughout the site.
Shift: Day 1 (Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, e/o Wednesday 6:30AM-7PM)

Qualifications
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Mechanical aptitude and experience using hand and power tools.
- Ability to perform physical work including lifting, climbing, bending, and working in various indoor and outdoor environments.
- Ability to read and follow maintenance procedures and technical instructions.
- Valid driver's license.
Preferred
- Experience in facilities maintenance, industrial maintenance, construction, mechanical trades, or building operations.
- Familiarity with fire alarm systems, leak detection systems, building automation systems, or low-voltage controls.
- Experience with plumbing, pipefitting, carpentry, painting, or mechanical repairs.
- Experience operating aerial lifts, scissor lifts, or other mobile equipment.
- Knowledge of industrial safety practices and maintenance procedures.

Employees in this role may be required to participate in the site Emergency Response Brigade and support emergency preparedness activities. Participation includes maintaining required training, certifications, and response readiness in accordance with site policies and business needs.
Hourly: onsemi is excited to share the base salary range for this position is $21.20 to $36.92 exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. The final pay rate for the successful candidate will depend on geographic location, skills, education, experience, and/or consideration of internal equity of our current team members. Essential Responsibilities
Fire Suppresion & Life Safety Systems Support
- Assist with inspection, testing, maintenance, and repair of fire alarm and emergency communication systems.
- Support maintenance activities for ECAMS, site-wide PA systems, environmental leak detection systems, and associated equipment.
- Assist with troubleshooting field devices, wiring, sensors, and control panels.
- Support contractors and internal technicians during system upgrades, testing, and project work.
- Maintain documentation and records related to inspections and maintenance activities.
Mechanical Maintenance Support
- Assist with basic pipefitting activities, including piping repairs, modifications, and installations.
- Support pump and motor maintenance, rebuilds, and equipment overhauls.
Construction & Facility Improvement Projects
- Support site improvement and renovation projects.
- Assist with carpentry-related projects and facility modifications.
General Facilities Maintenance
- Perform routine maintenance and repair activities throughout the site.
- Replace lighting fixtures, lamps, and associated components.
- Assist with door hardware repairs, lock installations, key management, and access-related maintenance.
- Perform minor roof repairs and support roofing contractors as required.
