We are excited to offer an opportunity to join our team as a Failure Analysis Technician. In this role, you will be responsible for performing detailed failure investigations and root cause analyses on discrete, analog, and power module products. Your work will support requests from Reliability teams, New Product Development, and Production.
You will utilize various analytical techniques such as electrical characterization, physical inspection, cross-sectioning, SEM/EDX analysis, and other advanced failure analysis tools to identify failure mechanisms and provide actionable insights. Your findings will contribute to product improvement, yield enhancement, and customer satisfaction.
This role requires strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate technical findings clearly through reports and presentations.

- Diploma or Associate Degree in Electronics, Materials Science, Physics, or a related technical field.
- Minimum 1 to 3 years of experience in a semiconductor Failure Analysis (FA) or laboratory environment.
- Basic understanding of semiconductor device structures, failure mechanisms, and material characterization techniques.
- Familiarity with laboratory tools and analytical equipment used in semiconductor failure analysis is an added advantage.
- Willingness to handle delicate samples and hazardous chemicals/materials in accordance with established safety procedures.
- Ability to follow detailed work instructions, maintain accurate documentation, and work effectively in a team environment.
- Willingness to work in a shift work pattern when required to support business needs.
- Perform electrical and physical failure analysis on semiconductor devices to identify failure mechanisms and support root cause investigations.
- Operate and maintain FA equipment, including SEM/EDX, X-ray, curve tracer, optical microscopy systems, cross-sectioning tools, and chemical decapsulation equipment.
- Prepare samples for analysis through decapsulation, cross-sectioning, polishing, deprocessing, and other laboratory techniques.
- Document analysis findings in detailed technical reports and communicate results to internal stakeholders and customers.
- Assist FA engineers in root cause investigations, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Manage sample flow, tracking, and laboratory logistics to ensure timely completion of Reliability (REL), Yield (YLD), and customer requests.
- Maintain laboratory equipment, consumables, and work areas to ensure operational readiness.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and ESD requirements while supporting daily laboratory operations.
