The Role

As part of the Sensor Interface Division, the Design Team in Bangalore develops and brings to production low-power high speed mixed-signal ICs for automotive Ethernet and automotive SerDes. We are looking to expand our design team Analog IC Staff / Principal Design Engineer with high-speed Class-AB Line driver expertise or high-speed Receiver chain or high speed PLL design experience. You will architect, specify and implement one of the above blocks, help in chip-level integration, chip-level simulations and silicon validation for the above-mentioned high-speed communication chips.

What You’ll Do
  • Participate in feasibility studies and architecture definitions of new products.
  • Generate detailed specifications, Architect, circuit design and verification plans for high speed Class-AB Line driver or high-speed Receiver chain (PGA, Filters, hybrid) or high speed PLL.
  • Develop MATLAB & Verilog A models of analog blocks related to the above blocks.
  • Guide and help in Layout.
  • Integrate analog blocks into complex mixed-signals System-on-Chip (SoC) designs.
  • Perform top-level Mixed-Signal simulations.
  • Silicon Evaluation and characterization of designed blocks in the lab.
  • Support the production test development and qualification.
  • Contribute to design methodology and design flow improvements.

What You’ll Need
  • Must have a BSEE, MSEE or Ph.D. with at least 6-15 + years of IC design work experience
  • Extensive experience in high speed and high performance in any one of the above mentioned blocks from scratch is required with at least 1 tape out & silicon success.
  • Good knowledge of low noise design techniques.
  • Good knowledge of high precision techniques in presence of device mismatch
  • Experience in C/MATLAB/Verilog A modeling
  • Understand device physics and demonstrated ability to apply that to optimize noise, power, area, and performance.
  • System knowledge of Automotive SerDes/ethernet and its link budget analysis will be added advantage
  • Good working experience in using spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, signal generators, etc. to validate analog designs.
  • Experience in working with production test engineers to firm up test plans and design for testability details.
  • Experience with IP integration and Mixed-Signal IC verification
  • Good English written and verbal communication skills.
