Job Summary:
Support the characterization of MV SiC power devices through DC electrical measurements and application-relevant testing, including DPT, SCWT, and switching characterization. Apply semiconductor device physics and Python-based test automation/data analysis to understand device behavior and provide characterization data supporting technology development, modeling, reliability, and applications.
Performance Objectives:
- Perform DC/static and dynamic characterization of SiC power devices, including I-V, RDS(on), VTH, leakage, DPT and SCWT.
- Develop strong understanding of SiC device physics and correlate device-level behavior with application-relevant performance.
- Support test setup development, measurement automation, and data analysis using Python.
- Analyze characterization data, identify trends/anomalies, and provide clear technical conclusions to technology, modeling, reliability, and application teams.
- Ensure high-quality, reproducible measurements and proper documentation of test conditions, methods, and results.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of characterization methodologies and laboratory capabilities for current and future SiC technologies.

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Semiconductor Physics, Applied Physics, or a related technical field.
- Knowledge in high voltage standards and background in testing above 1500 V DC.
- Good understanding of semiconductor device physics, preferably including power semiconductor devices and SiC MOSFETs.
- Basic knowledge or hands-on experience with electrical device characterization, DC measurements, and/or power electronics testing.
- Familiarity with dynamic/application-level testing, such as DPT, SCWT, or switching characterization, is an advantage.
- Experience with Python for data analysis, visualization, measurement automation, or scripting.
- Ability to analyze measurement data, identify trends and anomalies, and draw clear technical conclusions.
- Hands-on, structured, and analytical working approach with a strong focus on measurement quality and reproducibility.
- Good communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional and international engineering teams.

- Perform DC/static and dynamic electrical characterization of SiC MOSFETs, including I-V, RDS(on), VTH, leakage, breakdown, DPT and SCWT.
- Execute application-relevant characterization to evaluate switching performance, device robustness, and key electrical parameters.
- Develop and maintain test methods, measurement setups, and characterization procedures for current and future SiC technologies.
- Use Python for measurement automation, data processing, visualization, and parameter extraction.
- Analyze results based on semiconductor device physics and correlate electrical behavior with device design and application performance.
- Ensure measurement accuracy, repeatability, data quality, and proper documentation of characterization results.
- Collaborate with technology development, modeling, reliability, applications, and product engineering teams to support development milestones and technical investigations.
