Position Summary
TARGAN is seeking a seasoned and visionary Director of Strategic Corporate Infrastructure to lead, grow, and integrate our technology and data functions. This role encompasses oversight of IT Help Desk, Software Engineering, Commercial Data Enterprise, Commercial Systems Administration, Corporate Systems Administration, IT Security, and Software Support.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in IT infrastructure and data management, with experience in capital equipment industries being a significant plus. A critical aspect of this role involves collaborating cross-functionally with Sales & Marketing, R&D Engineering, Bio-Process, Operations, Human Resources and Finance teams to develop and execute strategies for monetizing proprietary data generated by our technologies.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Oversee and provide strategic direction to the following functions:
- IT Help Desk: Ensure prompt and effective support for all IT-related issues.
- Software Engineering: Lead the development and maintenance of software solutions that support our capital equipment.
- Commercial Data Enterprise: Manage data analytics initiatives to support business objectives.
- Commercial Systems Administration: Oversee systems that support commercial operations.
- Corporate Systems Administration: Manage internal corporate systems ensuring efficiency and reliability.
- IT Security: Implement robust cybersecurity measures to protect company assets globally.
- Software Support: Provide ongoing support and maintenance for software applications.
- Develop and mentor a high-performing team, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Partner with Sales & Marketing, R&D Engineering, and Finance to identify innovative uses of data that support business growth and value creation.
- Lead initiatives to transform proprietary data into revenue-generating products and services.
- Ensure alignment of infrastructure strategies with overall business objectives.
- Ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of IT infrastructure across the organization.
- Implement best practices for system administration, network management, and cybersecurity.
- Oversee the integration and optimization of commercial and corporate systems.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive data strategy that leverages proprietary data for business growth.
- Collaborate with relevant departments to create data-driven products and insights.
- Establish data governance policies to ensure data quality, compliance, and security.
- Manage budgets for infrastructure and related projects, ensuring cost-effectiveness and ROI.
- Negotiate and oversee relationships with external vendors and service providers.
Key Competencies & Skills
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in IT infrastructure and data management, with at least 10 years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven experience in cross-functional collaboration and data monetization strategies.
- Strong knowledge of IT systems, cybersecurity, and global data governance.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
- Ability to think strategically and execute methodically.
- Experience supporting capital equipment companies is a significant plus.
Working Conditions
Work is performed inside a flex space building consisting of offices, open desk space, laboratory, machine shop, and a manufacturing floor. Level of noise is usually quiet in the office environment and temperature controlled. Noise levels are elevated in the warehouse space where temperatures can vary depending on the outside elements and weather. Occasional travel may be required.
